Often times we get home sellers asking why they should remodel their home if the potential buyer will just come in and remodel it anyway.
We are here to tell you, that is just a myth. In most cases, even a buyer that is actually going to purchase and remodel a property that needs some work done, they’d typically like to move in and not do the work right away. So in retrospect, it really does not matter what the seller’s home looks like for the sale even if the seller thinks the future buyer will remodel.
Showcasing the property without trying to make it look better than it looks limits the buyer pool. There are plenty of buyers out there who are happy to buy a home and remodel it at a later date. But most buyers want to buy a home and move in right away, settle down, go back to work, send their kids to school, etc. before starting a whole new project on their latest investment. They want to do any remodeling at their leisure.
