The Steamboat Springs Winter Carnival is one of the best carnivals in Colorado. It is a wholesome, family-friendly event that offers a wide range of activities for everyone.
This is one of the biggest events to happen in town during the winter season. For a week, the town is filled with carnival sights and sounds. There are rides, games, and events all over the town. It’s a great time to visit Steamboat Springs and enjoy the company of family and friends.
We are getting excited about the upcoming 110th Winter Carnival which will be held February 8-12, 2023. Steamboat Springs hosts the country’s most exquisite winter carnival every year. It’s a magical experience not to be missed, and tickets are always in high demand. The Winter Carnival celebration includes a variety of events that embrace Steamboat’s western heritage and highlight our tradition of winter sports. Get ready to watch kids pulled on skis behind horses down a snow-covered main street, the Lighted Man at the Night Show Extravaganza, various street events and so much more! This Steamboat tradition was initiated by the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club (SSWSC) to help residents cope with cabin fever during the cold Colorado winter months.
The event continues to this day as a way to celebrate and embrace winter and for everyone to experience a piece of Ski Town USA®’s history and tradition.
