The Fourth of July in Steamboat Springs is more than a celebration of national pride; it’s an opportunity to honor the Yampa Valley’s rich western heritage with fun for all.
Events like the Ski Jumping Extravaganza, hometown parade, and the largest Pro Rodeo event of the summer, have visitors proclaiming independence at this 120-year-old event.
For 120 years, Steamboat Springs, Colorado has celebrated Independence Day in true Western fashion. This is a special holiday and Steamboat does it right with an iconic hometown parade.
In the interest of wildfire prevention, Steamboat Springs will not offer a firework display as part of its Independence Day Celebration. Colorado’s low humidity has its perks but can also create dry conditions. Our community places a high value on wildfire prevention, and we thank visitors and residents in advance for not using fireworks in Steamboat Springs this Fourth of July. Please note that during all events over the July 4th weekend, there will be additional parking available at Steamboat Springs High School and the Stockbridge Transit Center.
