Impact100 Yampa Valley 2026: Final Voting Event & Why It Matters

As the leaves turn and another year winds toward a close, there’s one night in Steamboat we always look forward to: the Impact100 Yampa Valley Final Voting Event.

It’s more than a fundraiser. It’s a chance to learn about the organizations doing important work throughout the Yampa Valley and see what can happen when a community comes together to support them.

What Is Impact100 Yampa Valley?

Impact100 Yampa Valley is a collective giving circle organized by the Yampa Valley Community Foundation (YVCF). The idea is simple: members contribute at least $100 each, pooling their donations to create meaningful grants for local nonprofit organizations.

Each season includes educational and social events that give members an opportunity to learn more about local nonprofits, hear directly from organizations doing the work, and ultimately vote on where the collective funding will go.

Since the program began in 2006, Impact100 has distributed more than $240,000 to dozens of nonprofits throughout the Yampa Valley.

Why the Final Event Feels So Special

The Final Voting Event is the culmination of months of learning, listening, and getting to know the organizations serving our community.

Three nonprofit finalists take the stage to share their work and explain how Impact100 funding could help further their mission. Paid members then cast their votes, with the funding allocations announced that evening.

What we like most about the model is how involved members get to be in the process. It isn’t simply about making a donation. It’s an opportunity to better understand what’s happening in our community, who is working to address local needs, and where collective support can make a difference.

📅 October 7, 2026
🕔 5–7 p.m.
📍 STARS Ranch

This year marks the Season 20 Finals and Awards.

The three organizations selected as finalists will each present their work and how Impact100 funding could support their efforts. Paid members will then cast their votes, and the awards will be announced that evening.

Every finalist receives funding, making the night a celebration not only of one organization, but of the work happening throughout the Yampa Valley.

What We Appreciate About Impact100

There are a lot of things we love about living in Steamboat, but the way people show up for this community is pretty high on the list.

Impact100 is a great example.

It brings people together to learn about local needs, introduces community members to nonprofits they may not have known much about before, and gives those organizations a platform to share the work they’re doing.

And rather than giving individually and never really seeing what happens next, members get to participate in the process—from learning about the organizations to hearing the finalists and casting their votes.

It’s community giving in a very hands-on way.

Why This Matters to Us

Being part of the Steamboat community means more to us than simply working here.

We live here, raise our families here, work with local businesses and organizations, and get to see firsthand how much people care about the Yampa Valley.

Impact100 is one of those programs that captures that spirit really well: people listening, learning, giving, and making decisions together about how to support the community we all share.

We’re looking forward to seeing which organizations take the stage for the October 7 Final Voting Event and celebrating another year of local giving.
