As the leaves turn and another year winds toward close, there’s one night in Steamboat we always look forward to: the Impact 100 Final Voting Event. It’s more than a fundraiser, it’s a gathering that celebrates the heart of community giving in the Yampa Valley.
What Is Impact 100, Anyway?
Impact 100 is a collective giving circle organized by the Yampa Valley Community Foundation (YVCF). The model is elegantly simple: 100 people donate at least $100 each, pooling resources to create significant impact in our local nonprofits. Over the years, it’s grown into a powerful philanthropic engine. In 2024, IMPACT100 granted out $18,000 to the three winning organizations.
Each season includes educational and social events, giving members the chance to learn about nonprofit organizations, nominate causes, and hear finalist pitches before casting their votes.
Why the Final Event Feels So Big
This isn’t just about dollars, it’s about community momentum. It’s the culmination of months of listening, learning, and collective decision-making. At the final event, three nonprofits present how they’d use the funding to make meaningful change, then members vote live on which organization should receive the grants.
Because every dollar goes directly to the community (sponsors underwrite event costs), the impact is pure and powerful.

This year marks the Season 19 Finals and Awards! The three organizations chosen as finalists during the second event will each present how their work would benefit from Impact 100 funding. Then, it’s in the members’ hands: paid members cast their votes, and the funding allocations are determined live at the event.
The energy builds right up to the end, because awards are announced on the spot. It’s a powerful, emotional evening that showcases just how much our community can accomplish together.
