As the season progresses, Steamboat is shifting gears from ski runs to bluegrass beats with the much-anticipated WinterWonderGrass festival, kicking off tonight and running through March 2, 2025. With three days of live music, craft beer tastings, and unforgettable mountain vibes, this festival is a winter highlight for locals and visitors alike.

Snow Safety & Avalanche Rescue Training 🐶❄
Safety on the slopes is always a priority, and Steamboat is leading the charge with avalanche awareness events and intensive rescue dog training.
Last week, 25 avalanche rescue dogs from across the country trained at Steamboat Resort with C-RAD, practicing live burial drills, helicopter deployments, and off-leash backcountry navigation. These four-legged heroes play a critical role in keeping skiers and snowboarders safe.

Honoring a Steamboat Legend: Pete Van De Carr ❤️🏔
Steamboat recently lost a true local legend. Peter Van De Carr, owner of Backdoor Sports and a lifelong outdoor adventurer, tragically passed away in a skiing accident last week. Pete was an icon of the Steamboat community, known for his passion for skiing, kayaking, and the Yampa Valley.
His adventurous spirit, love for the mountains, and kindness to all will forever be remembered.
Our hearts go out to his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest in peace, Pete—your spirit will forever ride with the Yampa and the mountains you loved.
